County Hell...
We are more than a little excited to be welcome the fantastic 'Band From County Hell' to this years Spirit of Awen on Friday 14th Aug...
The Band From County Hell are an original celtic folk band with 7 critically acclaimed albums, published works with Cherry Red Records and over 2000 live performances as part of their history. Live gigs have seen them play from the smallest of venues to outside arenas and most notably their own show at The London Palladium. They have appeared with bands such as The Levellers, The Stranglers, UB40 and have supported Stiff Little Fingers, Hayseed Dixie, The Beat and most recently, New Model Army on national tour dates. Major festivals appearances include Wychwood Festival, Rhythm Festival, Weyfest, The Bearded Theory Festival, Galtres, The Acoustic Festival of Great Britain and The Great British Folk Festival, amongst many others.
In 2017 BFCH won the public vote at The Great British Folk Festival for the best ‘new act’ which saw them play on the main stage to a capacity crowd.
In 2019 BFCH were invited to headline Stramash as part of The Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

He was with us at the launch of the Spirit of Awen in 2013 and he was then back to join us as we celebrated 5 years of the SOA camp... & he has joined us each year ever since...where have all the years gone!! And now We are so pleased to announce that he is back to join us again as we re-Launch the Spirit of Awen in 2022.. It will have been three long years since Awen was held due to the pandemic and we ALL need to celebrate gathering and being together again...So Come on..... you all know the words & you all know you want to sing along.. you can't help yourselves...YOU love it!!....
The Roving Crows
The Amazing Roving Crows will be joining us at this years Awen on Sunday 7th Aug
with their roots in Folk and Celtic music, the Roving Crows are renowned for their high energy live performances. So Get your glad rags on and join us for a fantastic evening and lets sing and dance our hearts out.....
